Georgia Taylor

Born in Sydney, Georgia received her early training at Ballet Academy Northside under the direction of Jennifer Ham and then later re-joined Dance BAN and Sydney College of Dance under the new direction of Xanthe Geeves and Gregor Thieler in 2014. Throughout her training, Georgia received distinctions in all RAD exams and joined the SCD’s ArtistPro Transition program as a part time student whilst completing her high school studies.

Georgia had the opportunity to perform as a soloist in various eisteddfods winning contemporary from a young age. At high school, Georgia studied accelerated HSC Dance and her choreographic work was chosen for the Callback series. When she was 15, Georgia was accepted into multiple prestigious ballet and contemporary schools such as The Joffery Ballet School, Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet and The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. After completing her HSC, Georgia started with the Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year under the direction of Rafael Bonachela and Linda Gamblin and completed the Advanced Diploma of Elite Performance.

Whilst at Sydney Dance Company, Georgia had the privilege to work with over 35 national and international contemporary choreographers and industry specialists offering a variety of unique movement philosophies and techniques. In 2018 -2019, Georgia performed repertoire from ‘Ab Intra’, ‘New Breed’, ‘6 Breathes’ created by Rafael Bonechela and and new works by guest choreographers Victoria Chu, Cass Mortimer Eipper, Ashley Wright and Idan Cohen. Now 21, Georgia is so grateful to be a fulltime teacher where she can pass on her love and passion for dance to the younger generation.
