Today, on International Mentoring Day, we at Ballet Academy Northside and Sydney College of Dance would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge our incredible teachers, who are such valuable mentors to our students. Your unwavering dedication, passion, and belief in our dancers help shape their journeys, inspiring them to dream big and reach new heights.

Reflecting on our own dance journeys, we are deeply grateful for the extraordinary mentors and teachers who guided us along the way. They not only nurtured our love for dance but also instilled a belief in ourselves that continues to fuel us as passionate dance educators today.

It is our mission to inspire and guide the next generation of dancers to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams fearlessly. By providing our students with the tools, opportunities, and support they need to grow into confident, creative, and expressive artists, we aim to pass on the invaluable lessons we’ve gained from our own mentors.

2024 has been a great year for BAN and SCD and we are so proud of our students’ achievements and successes both in classes, on stage and in their exams!

Congratulations to all our fabulous students for your performances throughout the year! You delighted the audience and performed with such joy at the end of year production of Peter Pan, at the Mid-year Showcase, at various Eisteddfods and at the community fair!

A big thank you to our amazing team who provide students with a wonderful dance education and who support all students to reach their goals! We appreciate your expertise, care and dedication in training our dancers and for nurturing each individual’s love of dance.

This week has been filled with Christmas cheer and joyful celebrations as our students wrapped up their final classes of Term 4! 🎄🩰 From festive activities to end-of-year dance parties, it has been the perfect way to finish an amazing year together.

Today marks the last day of the term, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our students have achieved throughout 2024. 💫 Thank you to our incredible dancers, families, and teachers for making this year so special!

We’ll take a short break to recharge and will be back to dance with you all on February 3, 2025. Until then, we wish everyone a happy and relaxing holiday season.

Dear BAN Families,
Congratulations on the huge success of our production on Sunday!

We would like to thank and congratulate everyone who had a part in making “Peter Pan – Adventures in Neverland” such a magical experience for both the performers and the audience!

Our fabulous performers are to be congratulated for the passion and stage craft that made their roles come to life on stage. They delighted the audiences, and their love of dance and infectious energy were expressed on stage in every scene! We congratulate all our amazing students on their outstanding performances! We are so proud of each and every one of you.

A huge thank you to our wonderful teachers for their care, and incredible work involved in pulling this production together! Our fabulous teaching faculty once again showed their dedication and expertise in preparing, choreographing and staging the dancers so they can perform at their best!

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for their costuming help as well as our backstage helpers, who were essential in making the rehearsal and show run so smoothly. (You know who you are!) Without your tremendous support it would not be possible!

Thank you to Katie Formston for making the stunning star tutu and Judy Geeves for her costume help.

Thank you to all the parents for supporting their children’s love of dance!

A huge thank you to the inspirational Kim Peade for his expertise and generous support in lighting our show so beautifully.

We would also like to thank the Concourse Staff for their professionalism and support.

A huge thankyou to all of those who contributed their effort and time to help pack and load the truck at the end of the season. Particular thanks goes to Kim Peade for going above and beyond.

Students are refining every detail, and it’s amazing to see the production take shape in the dress rehearsal. They’ve put in so much hard work and are ready to perform for friends and family on a professional stage!
